Students and publics who wish to do research of our Malaysian multi culture (about the traditional games,clothes,artifacts,festivals) also Malaysia’s historical artifacts, independence figures,celebrations as a source of their final year project or as a hobby can visit our library at Penang State Art Gallery, Dewan Sri Pinang. We do have our research assistant Ms.Ku Nuridayu@ Ayu to assist people who need help about the collections in our library. We are open from Monday- Friday @9am until 5pm.Closed on weekends and public holidays. For any enquiry,feel free to contact us @ 04-261 3144.

Tomorrow 30^th Nov 2011 is the last day for Eric Quah the Retro’s exhibition.

PRINT ART WORKSHOP WITH KDU STUDENTS

Print art workshop which was conduct by Mr.Maizul Effendy with our Penang State Museum staff Ms.Ku Nuuridayu @Ayu on 18^th Nov 2011(Friday) at KDU College at Jalan.Anson, Penang. KDU art class lecturer Mr.Maizul invites Ms.Ayu to organize such workshop due to the students final year project. The students will take it as a source for their final year project presentation. Normally for print art, we will used lino card but as for difference Ms.Ayu used wood card with oil paint to create a unique design. Wood engraving which is known as ‘Ukiran Kayu’ in malay is a popular art in village areas in Malaysia

Lunch treat among Penang State Museum Staffs and Mr.Eric Quah the Retro artist for this month at E& O Hotel. One of our memorable day for us that we enjoyed together….

Bintang Kecil Activity- (Group 5)

29 Students and 3 Teachers from SMJK (C)CHUNG HWA CONFUSION join together with us for the Bintang Kecil Activity on 17th November 2011 (Thursday) two days before starts of school holidays.The Students enjoyed the game during this activity which was conducte by our great tutors Ms.Ayu & Kak.Halimah.The students learned alot about the value and history of art.

Bintang Kecil Activity-(Group 4)

‎29 Students and 3 Teachers from SK Seri Relau join together with us for the Bintang Kecil Activity on 16 November 2011 (Thursday).The primary students enjoyed the game during this fun activity.They learned alot about the value and history of art.

29 Students and 2 Teachers from SMK Convent Light Street join together with us for the Bintang Kecil Activity on 11 November 2011 (Friday).The Students enjoyed the game during this activity by giving us the BEST support.They learned alot about the value and history of art.Penang State Museum is proud and happy to organized such events.Thanks everyone..
